Your information

Privacy Policy

Scope and controller

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit the Sequence Wallet Desktop website, use the desktop application, connect an account, interact with supported Web3 services or contact support. Sequence Platforms Inc. is referred to as “Sequence,” “we,” “us” or “our” in this policy.

Information you provide

We may receive an email address or supported social login identifier used to access a Sequence Smart Wallet, preferences you choose in the product, feedback and information included in a support request. Support messages may include an operating system, application version, public wallet address or public transaction hash when you choose to provide it.

Do not send a recovery phrase, private key, wallet password, authentication code or any other secret that can authorize access to an account.

Device and usage data

The website and application may process device type, operating system, application version, language, approximate region derived from an IP address, crash diagnostics, performance events, feature interactions and security signals. We use this information to deliver the product, diagnose failures, prevent abuse and improve reliability.

Wallet and blockchain data

Public wallet addresses, token balances, contract activity, transaction hashes and network events are recorded on public blockchains. Sequence Wallet Desktop retrieves this information to show portfolios, activity, routes and transaction previews. Public ledger data is not created or controlled by Sequence and generally cannot be corrected or deleted by us.

When you prepare a cross-chain action, the wallet may process the source and destination networks, assets, amounts, route options, fee estimates and required permissions. A transaction is submitted only after the required wallet approval.

Essential browser storage

The website uses essential browser storage to remember cookie consent. If you submit the website support form, a local copy of the most recent request may remain on that device until it is replaced or you clear site data. Disabling essential storage may prevent these preferences from being retained.

How information is used

We use information to provide account access and recovery features, display wallet activity, prepare requested routes, maintain security, respond to support, comply with legal obligations and improve the product. Depending on the context, processing is based on performance of a service, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent.

Sequence does not sell personal information and does not use wallet activity for third-party behavioral advertising.

Service providers and third parties

We may use hosting, authentication, analytics, error-monitoring, communications and support providers acting on our instructions. The wallet may also connect to independent networks, RPC providers, indexers, decentralized applications, swaps, bridges and relayers selected for a requested action. Those third parties process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, investigate fraud or security threats, enforce product terms or complete a corporate transaction with appropriate safeguards.

Retention and security

We retain personal information only for the time needed to provide the relevant service, resolve requests, meet legal and accounting obligations, prevent fraud and establish or defend legal claims. We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information involved, but no networked service can guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy of personal information. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Sequence Wallet Desktop is intended for users who are legally permitted to use digital asset services in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Information may be processed in countries with different data protection rules, subject to safeguards required by law.

Using the product

Terms of Service

Acceptance and eligibility

By downloading, installing, accessing or using Sequence Wallet Desktop, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms and may use the product only where permitted by applicable law. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it.

Smart Wallet architecture

A Sequence Smart Wallet is a non-custodial smart-contract account that can use multiple signers and a defined signing threshold. It does not operate like a traditional wallet controlled by one imported seed phrase. The signer configuration and recovery options available to you may depend on the account version, authentication method and supported network.

Sequence does not have unilateral authority to transfer digital assets from your wallet. You remain responsible for approvals made with your account and for securing the devices, login credentials and external signers connected to it.

Protect every signer.Use device security and multi-factor authentication where available. Sequence Support will never ask for a recovery phrase, private key or wallet password.

External wallets and hardware signers

Sequence Wallet Desktop may display or coordinate supported external wallets, hardware signers and watch-only accounts. Those accounts remain subject to their own security model, recovery process and provider terms. Sequence cannot restore an external wallet or override a hardware signer.

Transactions, fees and previews

Before approving an action, review the recipient, assets, networks, route, expected result, fee estimates and requested token permissions. Estimates may change before execution because of network conditions, liquidity, price movement or third-party service updates.

You are responsible for network fees and third-party fees associated with an approved transaction. Sequence may sponsor or abstract certain fees for eligible actions, but availability and limits may change and are shown in the product before approval.

Cross-chain actions

A cross-chain payment or swap may involve multiple contracts, swaps, bridges, relayers and network transactions. Sequence prepares available routes and displays the expected outcome, but independent protocols execute the underlying steps. Route availability, completion time and final output are not guaranteed.

Web3 apps and Smart Sessions

A Smart Session can authorize a Web3 application to perform specified actions within the account, network, spending limit and duration you approve. Review each request carefully. You are responsible for the scope you grant and for pausing, editing or revoking access when it is no longer needed.

Revoking a session or token approval affects future access. It does not reverse transactions already confirmed or remove data already recorded on a blockchain.

Digital asset and protocol risk

Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible. Digital assets may lose value, become illiquid or be affected by smart contract defects, malicious applications, governance actions, forks, network congestion, bridge failures, validator behavior or regulatory change. You assume the risks of the assets, networks and applications you choose to use.

Portfolio values, route estimates and other information shown in the wallet are informational. Sequence does not provide investment, tax, legal or financial advice.

Third-party services

Networks, tokens, decentralized applications, swaps, bridges, onramps, indexers and other integrations are operated by independent providers. Their terms, privacy practices, fees and geographic restrictions apply to their services. Sequence does not control their availability, security, pricing or execution.

Acceptable use

You may not use Sequence Wallet Desktop to violate law, evade sanctions, infringe rights, distribute malware, compromise systems, manipulate markets, impersonate another person, facilitate fraud or gain unauthorized access. You may not interfere with service operation, bypass security controls or use automated access in a way that harms the product or other users.

Software license and updates

Sequence grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the wallet for its intended purpose. You may not sell, sublicense, commercially exploit, copy protected components or reverse engineer the software except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Updates may add, change or remove features, network support and system requirements. You are responsible for obtaining the application from an authentic Sequence source and keeping your device and supported release current.

Availability and warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the website and wallet are provided “as is” and “as available.” Sequence disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not promise that the product will always be available, error-free, secure or compatible with every account, network, asset, device or third-party service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sequence and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, goodwill, business opportunities or digital assets. Sequence’s aggregate liability arising from the product will not exceed the greater of USD 50 or the amount you paid directly to Sequence for the affected service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limits. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the maximum extent allowed by law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Sequence and its affiliates against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the product, breach of these terms or violation of another person’s rights. Sequence will provide notice of a covered claim and may control its defense and settlement.

Suspension, changes and general terms

Sequence may restrict access to hosted services when reasonably necessary to address security, abuse, legal requirements or a material breach of these terms. Such restrictions do not change the rules of an independent blockchain or give Sequence control over assets it does not custody.

We may update these terms as the product, law or operating practices change. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction remain unaffected.

Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to mandatory consumer protections, the courts located in Ontario have jurisdiction over disputes that are not otherwise resolved by agreement.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies where you live. Before starting a formal claim, contact Sequence Support and provide enough non-secret information for the parties to try to resolve the issue.

Contact and safety

Support & Security

Submitting a request

Use the Support link in the website footer to start a request. Provide an email address and a concise description. Helpful context may include the operating system, application version, affected feature, asset, networks involved and a public transaction hash.

Information support will never request

Sequence Support will never ask you to send a recovery phrase, private key, wallet password or one-time authentication code. Do not install remote-access software, sign an unrelated transaction or transfer assets because someone claims it is required for support.

Keep secrets out of every support message.Public wallet addresses and transaction hashes may help an investigation. Authentication secrets never do.

Security reports and privacy requests

Use the same support channel for suspected account compromise, unexpected permissions, product security reports, privacy requests and trademark concerns. Include enough non-secret context to identify the affected account, transaction, product version or page. Response times may vary with request volume, severity and verification requirements.
